Do we really need a separate article about the one game that has been played in this competition and is the one game notable in itself? I'm proposing ti merge the info from Superfinalen 2009 into this article. Rettetast (talk) 18:04, 25 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support - At the minute, it seems like the project is only in its early stages. However, if another match is played in 2010, and there are prospects for it to become an annual thing, then I would not be opposed to re-splitting the info. – PeeJay 10:31, 1 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I'll review this article shortly. Wizardman Operation Big Bear 15:33, 8 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Here are the issues I found:

  • "There have previously been attempts at pre-season friendlies between the reigning league and cup champions, but Superfinalen was the first attempt to make it an official tournament. Such a super cup is common between the domestic league and cup winners in many European countries." Providing a couple examples here in both cases would be beneficial.
    • As for previous attempts, the source does not state anything specific. I've added a source which mentions the pre-season friendly between Viking and Rosenborg, which is all I've been able to identify. Again, it was not an official tournament, it was just "by accident" that the two played each others. I've added Charity Shield as an example, although I'm not that happy with have one-of-many examples (nearly all European countries have a super cup, so why mention Charity Shield specifically?). Arsenikk (talk) 11:43, 19 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • I'd move the aspects of the cancellation into a new section after 2010 and expand a bit on that. If it was as simple as it sounds though there's probably not much extra to add. Arsenikk (talk) 11:43, 19 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
    • Beyond the coverage of the two actual matches, there is very little written about this tournament in the press. In particular after the tournament was canceled the one article I found was the only mention. With the article this short, there is little more to say, except adding additional match details, which would be best suited for the two sub-articles. Arsenikk (talk) 11:43, 19 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Just those couple things: article's on hold, will pass when done. Wizardman Operation Big Bear 03:10, 9 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Everything looks good now, so I'll pass the article as a GA. Wizardman Operation Big Bear 15:06, 19 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
