I hope it's ok if I contribute some stuff.

[edit]

Using the program for years as an alternative to the first Photoshop versions, I believe I can share some technical insight into certain aspects of this program. I'm not too sure what happened to it after Adobe bought Aldus, but I do know that it was either abandoned or drawn from inspirationally for the first versions of Photoshop. IE: the code of SP itself wasn't continued on in any form as "Adobe SuperPaint" (even though it was renamed "Adobe SuperPaint" for it's last version 3.5 iteration for Mac OS Classic (around Mac OS 8.0 or so)), but it certainly aesthetically contributed to the over design of Photoshop (the similarities are there I believe). I can at least provide an icon for the article. :) Let me know if this is ok.--ThePenciler (talk) 17:59, 6 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Sure, just provide reliable sources. Airplaneman 01:25, 3 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

How to expand

[edit]

I'd like to mention how this app introduced the concept of layers, how it was positioned in the market against Canvas, CricketPaint, CricketDraw and Illustrator, and how color was introduced in v3.0 without much fanfare. The Tidbits article can be used as a reference. Any thoughts? Connectionfailure (talk) 02:33, 10 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Nope, go for it. Let's see how you do. :-) - Denimadept (talk) 07:00, 10 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
