Slave exploitation

I see the present text says that Marx claims that slaves are exploited. But Marx points out in Capital that slaves are constant capital, not variable capital, and therefore slaves do not produce value. Therefore they do not produce any surplus value to expropriate from said slaves, and therefore slaves are not exploited. Marx also points out in vol III that the value of labour power is not uniform, but different in different parts of the world in different time periods.
