Sangemarmar
[edit]Actually Sangemarmar (संगमरमर) means marble. This song start as सुनो न संगमरमर की ये मिनारे which means "listen these marble minars". So, how it's translation given as "my beloved"?--Hindust@niक्या करें? बातें! 16:16, 27 January 2015 (UTC)
- Thank you so much for the concern. It was only an online translation which I looked for while creating the article since I am not so great at Hindi. But its now corrected. Shaphiu (talk) 16:24, 27 January 2015 (UTC)
- Now I listen it again this time carefully and the song actually saying "Listen, these marble minars are nothing compare to you". So it's title translation is difficult. As my English is not so good I can't think of better translation which gives it meaning faithfully.--Hindust@niक्या करें? बातें! 16:39, 27 January 2015 (UTC)
- Same here. So what do you think? Should I remove the translation part in this article, or is the existing one clearly incorrect to keep as it is? Shaphiu (talk) 16:56, 27 January 2015 (UTC)
- Current one looks completely incorrect. We should remove it.--Hindust@niक्या करें? बातें! 17:00, 27 January 2015 (UTC)
- Now you changed it, this one looks OK.--Hindust@niक्या करें? बातें! 17:02, 27 January 2015 (UTC)
- Haha. Okay! So I am keeping as it is. Thank you once again. Shaphiu (talk) 17:05, 27 January 2015 (UTC)
- Ha! Thank you too. I will change it with better translation when I get one. See you soon.--Hindust@niक्या करें? बातें! 17:10, 27 January 2015 (UTC)

Indeed! But since we met, I have a small request. Could you help me with the english translation of the word "Kabira"? I clearly don't know the best word to use. Shaphiu (talk) 17:18, 27 January 2015 (UTC)
- As far as I know "Kabira" refers to Sant Kabir and figuratively means mystic. But I have heard that there is also an Arabic meaning of this. Since the song fron Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani uses lots of persian words ( = Urdu) maybe it refers to Arabic meaning which I don't know much about. Hope this helps.
- Feel free to ask any translation of Hindi words on my talk anytime.--Hindust@niक्या करें? बातें! 17:44, 27 January 2015 (UTC)
