Myth, not facts

[edit]

The Sunniva legend is a myth without historical eveidence. This should be reflected in the article.--Frode Inge Helland 14:47, 25 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The body of Sunniva was found intact? The story I've heard is that they found human bones. Never heard of an intact Sunniva - references?--Barend 08:03, 13 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
See the Acta sanctorum in Selio article which is in the present tense, which is what we use for fictional or legendary narratives. Haukur 09:27, 13 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
"Da de kristne omhyggelig samlet de knokler som de kunne finne av de hellige, fant de det uskadde legemet / av den salige jomfru og martyr Sunniva. Det ble endelig skrinlagt med stor heder i det nådens år 996." (emphasis mine) [1] Haukur 09:29, 13 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Changed "the king Håkon Jarl" to "the ruler Håkon Jarl". Håkon was the ruler of great parts of Norway, but did only use the title 'jarl', or 'earl', not king. Kingvald (talk) 07:55, 18 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
