History
[edit]Previously the Summernats were held at a different location each year (Adelaide, Wagga Wagga, Eastern Creek?) - this should be mentioned. It would also be worth mentioning the riot which happened when they were held in Wagga I guess? at least it was a notable event!Garrie 01:26, 15 August 2006 (UTC)

When/where was the first Summernats? Why is it called Summernats? WTF is a "nat"? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 124.170.122.236 (talk) 07:22, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
The "nats" stands for "nationals", or so I'm told. Shouldn't this be mentioned somewhere on the page? I think it helps explain an otherwise bizarre title. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 130.56.33.2 (talk) 13:02, 20 December 2008 (UTC)
Why isn't this labeled as a stub? There are some pretty major pieces of information missing from this page. If I knew nothing about it I would assume that the Summernats only started in 2005, but I went to the 7th Summernats in 1995. I have never known the Summernats to be held anywhere but Canberra, but I do know that there have been several controversies over the years, mostly related to alcohol, throngs of topless women and drunks driving around with topless women, and I would assume this might be a reason for it being moved? I'm also fairly sure it has skipped a couple of years because of controversy and funding issues. Summernats is a major event, attracting thousands each year including people like myself who have no interest in cars, but this article does nothing to reflect that. 220.233.85.189 (talk) 20:23, 24 August 2013 (UTC)
What about 2006?
[edit]The article mentions 2005 winners. I would have thought someone could either update it for 2006 or mention why the event wasn't on? Garrie 01:28, 15 August 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks Astrokey44, my bad. I think I will rewrite the paragraph to give priority to more recent events - it looks like the 2006 results were dropped in without too much consideration of all the 2005 results which are already there. Garrie 01:41, 15 August 2006 (UTC)
