Toponym -- "Heracleopolis/Pedachthoe"
[edit]It appears that Heracleopolis was also known by the toponym Pedachthoe, as evidenced in the hagiographical account of St. Athenogenes, Bishop of Pedachthoe (Πηδαχθόης) / Heracleopolis (Ηρακλειουπόλεως) - a Bishop of this region.
