The earliest life of Sulpicius of Bourges is edited and printed in Bruno Krusch, ed. Monumenta Germaniae Historica: Scriptores Rerum Merovingicarum vol 6 (1902). Cave ne impudentibus his mendaciis fidem ullas attribuas is Krusch's often-repeated note in the volume.
