Conversion to sulfuric acid?

[edit]

I've read it happens, so, how quickly does this occur? Kel - Ex-web.god 23:28, 2 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

but is this acid corrosive???????????? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.155.113.21 (talk) 10:27, 17 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

"There is no evidence that sulfurous acid exists in solution, but the molecule has been detected in the gas phase."

[edit]

This is a quote from the current version of the article which seems to contradict what the German version of the article says: "... unbeständige, nur in wässriger Lösung existierende, zweiprotonige Säure, die beim Lösen von Schwefeldioxid in Wasser entsteht ...".

That is: "... unstable, diprotic acid, only existing in aqueous solution, which forms when sulfur dioxid is dissolved in water ...".

The statement in the French article seem to be equivalent to the English version, so maybe there is just a misunderstanding on my side somewhere? --KaiKemmann (talk) 11:35, 15 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
