Vocal range

[edit]

Even though the music sheet says that her vocal range spans up to D5, she actually hits a couple of G5s at 3:02 and 3:12 (the peak notes when she sings the last "Yes"). So I edited the vocal range but I didn't know how to reference the song itself. I mean, do we need a source when the notes are clearly hit at those points in the song? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 190.194.114.115 (talk) 03:27, 9 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

NOT a single!

[edit]

This song was not released as a single! It had a music video, but that does not make it a single! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.81.22.110 (talk) 01:26, 18 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Suga Mama should be included in B'Day

[edit]

I think there is absolutely no need for an own article. It can be merged into the B'Day article. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Malcolmo (talkcontribs) 18:26, 28 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Re-created

[edit]

Well, there seemed to be enough information about this single for an article independent of the main album page, so I re-created it from the redirect. If anyone knows of any other sources that could be used to expand it further, please add them. Extraordinary Machine 03:30, 2 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Does it have any physical release??? BritandBeyonce 09:53, 2 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Not that I know of. I think it was released on a strictly promotional basis, with, of course, the song available to download from places such as iTunes as an album track. Extraordinary Machine 20:29, 2 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I see. Hey! Is the cover a fan made only or official??? BritandBeyonce 07:54, 9 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Removed from singles chronology

[edit]

The song "Suga Mama" was NOT a released officially as a single from B'Day. Like songs "Upgrade U" and "Freakum Dress", it recieved attention independent of the album, but it should not under any circumstances be referred to as a single. It is simply misleading. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.1.175.126 (talk) 21:32, 8 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This article is in decent shape, but it needs more work before it becomes a Good Article.

  1. Is it well written?
    A. The prose is clear and concise, and the spelling and grammar are correct:
    Well done.
    B. It complies with the manual of style guidelines for lead sections, layout, words to watch, fiction, and list incorporation:
A little more should be added in the lead.
    Check. --  ThinkBlue  (Hit BLUE) 14:22, 11 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  2. Is it verifiable with no original research, as shown by a source spot-check?
    A. It contains a list of all references (sources of information), presented in accordance with the layout style guideline:
According to this, there are two dead links.
    Check. --  ThinkBlue  (Hit BLUE) 14:22, 11 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It represents viewpoints fairly and without editorial bias, giving due weight to each:
  5. Is it stable?
It does not change significantly from day to day because of an ongoing edit war or content dispute:
  6. Is it illustrated, if possible, by images?
    A. Images are tagged with their copyright status, and valid non-free use rationales are provided for non-free content:
    B. Images are relevant to the topic, and have suitable captions:
It would be best if Image:Beyoncé Suga Mama music video.PNG was placed on the right, per here.
    Check. --  ThinkBlue  (Hit BLUE) 14:22, 11 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  7. Overall:
    Pass or Fail:
If the following statements can be answered, I will pass the article. Good luck with improving this article!

Thank to Gary K. and Efe for getting the stuff I left at the talk page, because I have gone off and placed the article as GA. Congrats. ;) --  ThinkBlue  (Hit BLUE) 14:22, 11 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
