Distinction between physical and virtual

[edit]

I'm not sure if "cash" describes what Mr Suelo gave up. Cash does not include other forms of exchange that Suelo has relinquished, including important non-cash forms of currency such as debit cards, credit cards. Going further, Mr Suelo specifically claims not to "barter". Therefore, I do not believe "cash" is accurate.

I'm not sure if "newspaper" describes the Huffington Post, or even the UK Guardian. As with my criticism of the use of the word "cash", here I sense a blurring of the "physical". According to Wikipedia, a "newspaper" is a physical thing. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.117.215.249 (talk) 07:34, 4 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I am noting that both of my edits involve a distinction between physical and virtual. Difficult these days, I know —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.117.215.249 (talk) 08:11, 4 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Further to e-mail correspondence with the subject of this article i.e. Suelo, I can confirm the following. His real name is Daniel James Shellabarger with Suelo his forest activist name (like Swampy). Suelo is not his last name. He was born in 1961. See copy of e-mail below from zerocurrency[at]gmail.com, 10 Feb, 2012:

Hello Adam - Thanks for working on this - I'm glad it's you who's doing it! I was born 1961 in Denver, CO. My given name is Daniel James Shellabarger. Suelo was my forest activist name & became my "last" name kind of accidentally through the media, so I decided to accept it as such. God bless rebounded, Daniel Nirvana2013 (talk) 12:09, 11 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Now confirmed by his biography, Mark Sundeen (2012) The Man Who Quit Money p. 39. I have added a citation to the article. Nirvana2013 (talk) 10:09, 2 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
