Infobox Image
[edit]Musicfreack7676, I really feel strongly that the other image I uploaded is a better picture of Gray herself and is used more widely than the one that you uploaded. Is there anyway I can find a better quality image of the one I uploaded and replace it? Would you be objective of that? Either way, we're still using a promotional image, so WP:FAIRUSE would be an argument even if we kept the picture that is there now. The image from here [1], in my opinion, is much more flattering than the one in the infobox right now. HorrorFan121 (talk) 14:14, 20 June 2012 (UTC)
- I have to disagree about the flattery of the image. The one I uploaded flatters the actress much better HorrorFan. In the one you want, she's not smiling and looks pissed off. In my image, she is smiling and looks healthy and just glowing more. In that image, she looks beyond fake. It's not about what's widely used either, so that argument is invalid. And if you want to address me directly, next time, come to me. MusicFreak7676 TALK! 21:36, 21 June 2012 (UTC)
- There's really no need to get grouchy. If you really feel strongly about it, I'll drop the whole thing. It's merely a matter of preference. HorrorFan121 (talk) 23:25, 21 June 2012 (UTC)
- LOL. I wasn't getting grouchy at all. MusicFreak7676 TALK! 23:42, 21 June 2012 (UTC)

How broad is the coverage in this article?
[edit]As this character is a well-known soap opera character - why is the coverage limited to sixteen sources? The rest are episode citations. The sections look as though they contain much information - but upon reading the article, I was offered a large collection of quotes taken from each of the sixteen sources. There are hundreds of sources out there for her. Just wondering if any intends to add more information?Rain the 1 21:59, 21 June 2012 (UTC)
- I definitely intend to, hopefully once the first season concludes as that's when users will likely calm down on the editing front. MusicFreak7676 TALK! 22:02, 21 June 2012 (UTC)
- Good to hear MF. I'm surprised it wasn't brought up sooner. I just had a quick look around and found book sources, newspaper sources, generic search results offering reception and analysis. I think that Highbeam etc will turn up more too. Then like you say, the new info on the new series. There is great potential here.Rain the 1 22:07, 21 June 2012 (UTC)
- There is fantastic potential but I definitely want to wait until the ten episodes of the revival air, etc. Because editors will be continually coming in and adding things and making fancraft edits. MusicFreak7676 TALK! 22:37, 21 June 2012 (UTC)
- I'm afraid that's my doing. When I first crafted the article, there were far less sources to be used (in terms of original casting, characterization, etc.) as they had yet to start promoting the new show as heavily as they did a few months back. The reception section would be the most to benefit from the new information concerning the revival, as there were very few I could remember finding when I searched for citations. I've never used Highbeam before either...though it does look beneficial to finding sources, particularly for older character references. HorrorFan121 (talk) 21:38, 23 June 2012 (UTC)
- If you look in Google's archives, there are old news articles on the character. Searching the other archives would be useful too. The free library, fairfax - some of the other pay ones if accessible. Do you want me to find some sources and list them here?Rain the 1 21:49, 23 June 2012 (UTC)
- That would be great. Unfortunately, I've never been good at tracking down good references. Haha. If more information can be found relating primarily to those sections, some of the longer quotes could be trimmed down that are being used to sum up the information. I still think it's good to include them though in some form. A lot of character articles have direct quotes from the actor/actress, producer, etc. HorrorFan121 (talk) 22:17, 23 June 2012 (UTC)
- I know they do - I'm always editing soap opera articles and the interviews prove to be really useful. Just have to paraphrase them. I have posted some sources below - I'll keep adding to the list as I go along.Rain the 1 23:14, 23 June 2012 (UTC)
- Wow! That could actually lead to a MAJOR expansion. As Musicfreak7676 said though, it's probably best to wait until the revival has concluded before making any major changes. HorrorFan121 (talk) 18:06, 24 June 2012 (UTC)

Hopefully this will be sorted now. Months have passed now - and like I said, below is just the beggining for this famous fictional character.Rain the 1 09:21, 27 October 2012 (UTC)

Date of marriage (Sue Ellen & J.R.)
[edit]I still think, that they married in 1970. I remember this one episode "Anniversary" (season 5 episode 18): J.R. and Sue Ellen celebrate the anniversary of their meeting at the Miss Texas beauty pageant. It's 1967 (and here is another mistake by the way the episode aired in February 1982 but J.R. says its her 14th anniversary) and I'm sure they said that they married three years later several times. (Unfortunately I can't come up with episodes for this, because I would have to watch every single episode...) And the marriage was in December 1982, not December 1981 (season 6 episode 10/11). --Jany90 (talk) 13:50, 8 July 2013 (UTC)
