PoB

[edit]

Is it Pabna or Azamgarh? Article is inconsistent on this information. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.69.230.183 (talk) 19:33, 31 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:SuchitraSen1.jpg

[edit]

Image:SuchitraSen1.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 12:01, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Reference to Satyajit Ray

[edit]

The article claims that she couldn't give dates to Satyajit Ray for Debi Choudhurani and the film didn't get done and Satyajit never made the movie with some other actress. This is a complete fabrication of truth from multiple angles. Firstly, Satyajit perefers a natural acting style and and he would have never taken Suchitra in his movie because she prefers a dramatic, unnatural style of acting. Secondly, Debi Choudhurani as a topic would have never interested Ray. It is the complete antithesis of the values that he believed in. Finally, list of films that Ray wanted to make but couldn't can be found in many of his biographies and Debi Choudhurani is never mentioned.

It is true that when Ray first wrote the script of "Ghare Baire", years before starting "Pather Panchali", he did have Suchitra in mind for the character of Bimala. But that script was thrown away and a new one was written later, when he finally made "Ghare Baire" in early '80s.

I would like to see this reference moved. Suchitra is a legend and will continue to be be a legend without this fabrication. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 12.96.233.130 (talk) 22:04, 1 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Conflicting information

[edit]

In information box it is said, Sen was born in MubarakPur, Azamgarh, Uttar Pradesh and in the Personal Life section it is said she was born in Pabna, British India (now Bangladesh). I propose to check this error. Thanks! --Tito Dutta (Talk) 09:16, 29 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I have studied and according to this article, Sen was born in Pabna District, this is already mentioned in Personal Life section of this section, I am correcting the infobox. --Tito Dutta (Talk) 09:20, 29 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
