Official definition
[edit]The above definition is being corrected, as according to my Biochemistry Professor on my last exam, a word for word definition of "substrate level phosphorylation" quoting the above is a completely erroneous answer. I got a zero on that 10 point question, so if the author of the above definition would like to contest this incorrect definition with my professor, please do so. According to my professor, the correct definition of "substrate level phosphorylation" is the creation of ATP during metabolism not involving oxidative phosphorylation or ATP synthase. It is the opposite of respiration phosphorylation.
- Removed this at 11:45am AEST and added it to talk page on behalf of posting user. Is worth researching.--Brynic 01:46, 9 May 2007 (UTC)
- An article is not a place for venting frustration with your biochem exam. If you question the verifiability of the definition, then discuss it on the talk page. I am not familiar with the rules, but your edit probably counts as vandalism--Chibibrain (talk) 19:56, 21 November 2009 (UTC)
