Definition of principle
[edit]An earlier version of this article defined the principle as "substitution... that is more efficient or beneficial in some way while retaining the same functionality". This is arguably incorrect - assuming that electric cars, for example, are more sustainable but smaller and slower than petrol-powered cars, then the electric cars would normally be considered an important substitute, even though their functionality as a car is more limited.
