[edit]"Sub Rosa is among a subset of Star Trek: The Next Generation episodes that demonstrate that the series was as much an actors' series as it was a science-fiction series. It signified that Star Trek: The Next Generation was often more about the characters portrayed than futuristic spaceships and space aliens, and that some, more enlightened "Trekkies" are also, therefore, enthusiastic patrons of the performing arts."
I don't know the wikipedia guidelines that well so I won't edit it, but this doesn't seem very NPOV.
I thought one "lit" a candle and "kindled" a fire. Maybe not... SkepticalGal 19:02, 23 March 2007 (UTC)
McFly tombstone
[edit]During Crusher's final confrontation with Ronin, I noticed a tombstone on the set with the name "McFly".
Would this qualify as trivia being a possible homage to Back to the Future? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Sten28 (talk • contribs) 01:36, 5 September 2008 (UTC)
- Affirmative, as there is also one that says 'vader'---in my opinion, definitely not a coincidence 207.65.109.10 (talk) 21:25, 18 November 2009 (UTC)

Jonathan Frakes
[edit]This episode is directed by Jonathan Frakes. It is my observation for the episodes directed by Jonathan Frakes that the screen time for Commander Riker is always very small. Is it that Jonathan Frakes can't very well direct himeself. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 213.107.134.248 (talk) 22:42, 6 December 2010 (UTC)
Brannon Braga on Sub Rosa
[edit]Brannon Braga on Sub Rosa: "TNG episode SUB ROSA - my homage to Henry James. AWFUL!! Please forgive." (https://twitter.com/BrannonBraga/status/481249064919367682) — fourthords | =Λ= | 01:42, 13 August 2014 (UTC)
- It's odd that many of the most cringeworthy TNG episodes involve inept attempts to reference Irish or Scottish culture. I wonder if these episodes play better with American than British/Irish audiences. --Ef80 (talk) 19:42, 15 September 2015 (UTC)
See also
[edit]Similar to a point I recently made at Talk:Schisms (Star Trek: The Next Generation), I have my doubts about the see also section in this article as to me there are no clear reasons why these particular episodes have a closer connection with this one than other Star Trek: The Next Generation episodes. For example I am struggling to see the links with Genisis other than the involvement of writer Brannon Braga. Dunarc (talk) 20:25, 23 May 2022 (UTC)
