Health

[edit]

Do someone have any reference about possible impact on health ("SAN" appears on some food products) ? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.149.225.171 (talk) 13:45, 3 September 2011 (UTC) Or any reference as to weather SAN is a hormone disruptor or it has estrogenic activity? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.199.83.19 (talk) 15:42, 27 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Uses of SAN

[edit]

I am not sure if this is entirely relevant but Styrene-acrylonitrile resin is used as the MRE ration utensils, including the "famous" MRE Spoon in the united states. It is also used for many cooking applications such as mixing bowls and coffee filter housing due to its high heat and scratch resistance. This bit of trivia may be worth adding to the article itself if someone can find sources and a few other uses for this particular plastic. I've never updated an article myself and don't know the rules to do so, so I'll leave it to someone who knows what they are doing. EpicSOB (talk) 05:02, 16 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
