OK, here we go!
Comment on the class of the article
[edit]@Emperor of Emperors:, this article is a list article.
- Wikipedia:Manual_of_Style/Lists#Stand-alone_list_articles says the name of a list article should start with “List of …”, and I think that applies in this case. This easily managed.
- See WP:SALLEAD for what should be included within the introductory text of a list article – clearly, the text at the top of this article needs to be rewritten if you agree with me that it should be considered to be a list article.
- Wikipedia:Good_article_criteria#What_cannot_be_a_good_article? states that a stand-alone list (i.e. a list article) cannot be nominated to be a good article, but “should be nominated for featured list... ...status, if applicable”. See Wikipedia:Featured list criteria for what a featured list should be like.
Therefore I cannot help you with this GA nomination any further, but I am happy to help you if you want to make it a featured list. It's already partly there. Let me know what you want to do. Regards, Amitchell125 (talk) 16:00, 18 August 2022 (UTC)
Thanks Amitchell125! Yes, I'll be happy if we move forward towards making this article into WP:FA. Please advise. Regards, An emperor /// Ave 00:53, 19 August 2022 (UTC)
Moving forward
[edit]- Hi Emperor of Emperors,
- You now need to withdraw the nomination, as per WP:GAN/I#N3.
- I will reclassify the article as a list article. Done AM
- I will rename it 'List of styles of the kings of Georgia'.
- There are some issues regarding the text and the information in the tables that I spotted when starting the review, those could be discussed after this nomination is closed. Regards, Amitchell125 (talk) 07:35, 19 August 2022 (UTC)
- Amitchell125 I have reconsidered my position and I do not want to move forward with GA or FA under the "list of" category and do not support the renaming of the article. I am lookimg into some more sources for the future expansion of the article to make it even more resourcefull and will eventually be nominating for GA. But, again, I very much appreciate your interest and feedback. But for now, we can go ahead and fail the GA nomination. Regards, An emperor /// Ave 13:36, 19 August 2022 (UTC)
- Agreed. All the best, Amitchell125 (talk) 15:19, 19 August 2022 (UTC)
