[edit]Doesn't the SHC currently own 13 cooperative houses? They place members in 12 houses, but own a thirteenth in Lansing.
- Yes, the SHC owns Bulmer House in Lansing, but it's not actually part of the SHC. They don't have any representation on the Board of Directors and it's really more that the SHC is their landlord than anything else. kayeighty
What exactly is the MSU SHC's nonprofict status? The corporation is not a 501(c)(3). Is it listed as a nonprofit with the State of Michigan? Perhaps "nonprofit" in the intro paragraph should link to the type of nonprofit so it is not misleading.
- The SHC is a state-nonprofit but not a federal, though it's beginning the process of applying for 501(c)(3) status again. kayeighty
Okay, to be honest, this page doesn't really make sense. The main page title seems to indicate that it's all about ALL student housing cooperatives at MSU, but the first thing listed is the SHC. I feel "Michigan State University Student Housing Cooperative" should be a different page from "Student Housing Cooperatives at Michigan State University." kayeighty
- Yes, I agree. This page describes specifically the organization known as the MSU SHC. They title themselves "MSU Student Housing Cooperative", and the title of this page should reflect that. -- Herpderpsoup (talk) 17:55, 19 January 2017 (UTC)
