Speedy Deletion
[edit]Please hold off on the deletion. There are currently a number of rugby league articles linking to Stuart Cummings erroneously. I simply added this as a placeholder, i'm in the process of repointing the links, and i will flesh out the article following that. I would ask you give me the time to do this. If i haven't done after a reasonable period of time then fair enough, delete the page. Thanks. Julianhall (talk) 22:08, 11 February 2009 (UTC)
- Fair enough, but that's not really the point. I looked around and couldn't find much on him. Could you explain his significance in rugby? -Zeus-uc 22:16, 11 February 2009 (UTC)
- Ah, right. He's a former first-grade (and well-known amongst the RL community) referee. He's refereed world cup finals, several domestic finals, and is currently employed by the Rugby Football League as Match Officials Director. Maybe a weak defence, but there are far less-significant refs with articles on Wikipedia. Julianhall (talk) 22:24, 11 February 2009 (UTC)
- Good enough for me. -Zeus-uc 22:47, 11 February 2009 (UTC)

- Might I make a suggestion of replacing with a referal page. Either the position could pool all people in the position, or one to the appropriate subsection of the page on the league. That should tidy things up. --Robert Wm "Ruedii" (talk) 18:23, 28 May 2012 (UTC)
- Hi RuediiX. You've commented on an old discussion. The referee in question clearly meets the Rugby league notability guidelines. Mattlore (talk) 20:56, 28 May 2012 (UTC)
