I posted this admittedly incomplete article because I need to set up several more articles about legislators in the Massive Resistance Era, and I'm at an impasse. I used "Barns" as his middle name, although 1 source says "Barnes" because I think the General Assembly bios were vetted. I can't find out more, perhaps without traveling to Charlottesville, or Fincastle, Virginia --each several hours away--and my time and resources are limited. Even the Virginia Historical Society (where I physically am today in Richmond) lacks a clipping file relating to this fairly important historical figure. Oddly, the compilation of Virginia legislative biographies in another entry I edited today keeps throwing out error messages about me lacking access rights, so perhaps it's now only accessible to legislators.Jweaver28 (talk) 19:30, 9 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
