The article says "... despite the fact that the Spanish were officially enemies of all of the subject's of Queen Elizabeth, the islanders welcomed them ..." This makes no sense, since at this time Fair Isle was part of Scotland, and the union of the Scottish and English crowns did not occur until James I came to the English throne after her death.
