Strip (Chris Brown song)Strip (song) – Unnecessary disambiguation. Unreal7 (talk) 22:35, 11 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Unreal7, those aren't album title songs, but even without that point, what exactly is the benefit to anyone of any of these? If two songs have en.wp entries, even without being an album article, what is the benefit of making one of them Title (song) and another Title (Artist song)? Hands All Over is. Unreal7 (talk) 15:43, 16 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Unreal7, It is not acceptable to strike out Richhoncho's Talk "Chances are before long there will be another song called "Strip" which will be "more notable."" as you have done above. In ictu oculi (talk) 20:47, 15 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Removed strike out added to MY post by Unreal7. Do not edit others posts. Bad form to put it mildly. --Richhoncho (talk) 23:25, 15 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
AjaxSmack's point that WP:PRIMARY does not apply to reduction of parenthetical disambiguation per that RM stands: once you have a bracket disambiguator "(song)" as Girl on Fire (Alicia Keys song) and Girl on Fire (Rob Zombie song) exists in the real world even though in en.wp is only a redirect to album article there is absolutely no benefit to deleting "Alicia Keys" from the bracket. • Oppose. The current redirect from Strip (song) to the DAB section Strip#Music is by far the best option. If that isn't what the current guidelines and policies say (and I'm not convinced of that) then they should be changed or at least clarified pronto.
