So Noisy

Vertical cutting on concrete not recommended?

Searching the web about this, every hit I get is either people saying they've been using a string trimmer for edging for years, or to be careful because it can kick up rocks. This article says it can cause damage due to water collecting in the groove. The history of the name "Whipper Snipper"

I was interested in this so I looked into it and it seems the name "Whipper Snipper" is a registered trademark of Black and Decker Corporation and that string or line trimmers where marketed under this name only in Australia.
