Automatic or Autonomic
[edit]As this is a medical/scientific article I believe the first paragraph should more accurately read:
The stretch reflex (myotatic reflex) is a muscle contraction in response to stretching within the muscle. It is a monosynaptic reflex which provides AUTONOMIC regulation of skeletal muscle length.
rather than stating that it is "automatic". I believe it to be a function of the autonomic nervous system but have no specialised knowledge to be certain of this and so have left it as it stands.

- No, automatic is correct. The autonomic nervous system mostly targets smooth muscles and glands, whereas this reflex is about skeletal muscles. Adrian J. Hunter(talk•contribs) 11:46, 15 October 2018 (UTC)
