Spores
[edit]I noticed that that the word spores has been linked to endospores. But Streptomyces spores are not endospores as far as I realise. They are formed out more like fungal spores, rather than internal endospores. ώЇЌĩ Ѕαи Яоzε †αLҝ 23:52, 11 June 2007 (UTC) Streptomycetes form exospores not endospores! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 95.112.187.99 (talk) 17:14, 22 February 2011 (UTC)
fosfomycin links to this article so I hope this article can address the drugs relevance in a new section. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.43.212.236 (talk) 06:49, 4 May 2008 (UTC)
Species
[edit]I think that the list of species should be split of to a separate article - the current list doesn't really tell us anything. SmartSE (talk) 13:21, 17 January 2012 (UTC)
- Seconded! This is one of the largest genus within prokaryotes and its best that the list is maintained separate. --Wiki San Roze †αLҝ 13:33, 17 January 2012 (UTC)
- As you've probably already noticed. Done SmartSE (talk) 22:23, 17 January 2012 (UTC)
Source
[edit]This looks useful: Seipke, R. F.; Kaltenpoth, M.; Hutchings, M. I. (2011). "Streptomyces as symbionts: An emerging and widespread theme?". FEMS Microbiology Reviews: n/a. doi:10.1111/j.1574-6976.2011.00313.x. SmartSE (talk) 02:24, 21 January 2012 (UTC)
Streptomyces or Streptomyectes
[edit]I noticed that once in the first paragraph the later name is used. If I'm not mistaken this is an older name that is not used now days. Correct me if I'm wrong. Anyway, this should be corrected. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 132.66.45.238 (talk) 14:03, 11 March 2012 (UTC)
Low quality source - thoughts?
[edit]I added a source for an antibacterial produced by S. antibioticus, but it seems to be from a very low-quality journal, and full of typos. Should I remove it? Would love to hear your thoughts.Rambunctious Racoon (talk) 07:46, 11 August 2015 (UTC)
