2 August 2013 reword
[edit]All three cable car tunnel articles have been combined here. Maybe one article, Chicago Cable Car/River/Streetcar tunnels or something.Sammy D III (talk) 17:44, 2 August 2013 (UTC) Talk
- Well, it's been almost four years without comment, soooo...
LaSalle Street Tunnel, this, and Washington Street Tunnel (Chicago) are lame, are rarely edited, and have no views. Obscure subjects badly named. I have combined them here and plan to rename this.
I have edited information from all three into here (again). I left some details out, politics and who contracted what for how many 1888 $$$ type stuff. Anyone who cares more will get one of the refs anyway. I tried to focus on the physical and balance all three tunnels. Somebody worked on "Plans for subways" so I left it intact and moved the refs below in the order they appear in the text. There's a bunch of them.
I think this should be re-named "Cable car tunnels in Chicago". I think more people might be interested in cable cars than tunnels named for Chicago streets. I already made Cable cars in Chicago and think they would probably show up together.
I'll probably work on refs. Sammy D III (talk) 17:13, 4 July 2017 (UTC)
"Streetcar tunnels"
[edit]Cable-car tunnels seems too specific. The article does cover streetcar service, which would be more common? The two other articles (LaSalle Street Tunnel and Washington Street Tunnel (Chicago)) left with their street names get more hits (still very lame) than this does.
Since nobody comes here and I am the only person who edits (other than fix) I plan to move it when the move thing is fixed or I can figure out the patch. (Edit: Got it. I had to use "Illinois") Sammy D III (talk) 15:56, 27 January 2018 (UTC)
- @Sammy D III: please ask an administrator (like me) to clean up after you make a mistake. I just moved this article here, over the top of the erroneous redirect to List of International (brand) trucks. Thanks, wbm1058 (talk) 15:57, 12 December 2019 (UTC)
