The lead needs to be modified so that it summarizes the rest of the article. Several parts of the article seem to be missing at the moment. See MOS:INTRO
This sentence is unclear: After her adoptive sister Megan sees someone who looks like her in places she knows Laurie could not be, Megan calls the spirit Laurie's "ghosty".
Is there a reason things like heir and parka are wikilinked? These seem like more mundane topics than some of the other links in this section. It feels like either a bunch more should be linked or slightly less.
The plot section is already quite detailed. Could the answer about whether they know they're meeting with Lia or Laurie just be stated rather than further background given? Best, Barkeep49 (talk) 17:26, 18 November 2018 (UTC)\[reply]
Can a specific publication date be found? In cursory research I found October 1 but can't link it to a RS so don't know if that's right
Kirkus Reviews says that it was published October 22, but the publication year it lists is incorrect so I decided not to use that source. Every other publication that I found just stated the publication month and year. Fearstreetsaga (talk) 17:59, 17 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
"fascinated by the concept" feels like too close a paraphrase
I am not sure what this sentence is saying An actress mentioned in the first edition of the novel is Kerry Arquette, one of Duncan's daughters who appeared in the movie Stranger in Our House.
Any source detail what changes were made for the 2011 reissue? IT seems like PW gives some sense. Other trade journals might offer other coverage.
I added the bit about cell phones from PW. Unfortunately, the sources I found just mention some of the changes made to the group of 10 novels, but they don't specifically say these changes were made to Stranger in My Face or all 10 of the novels. Rather than merely list the awards it won, can text from the citations be incorporated? That paragraph needs to be livened up a little it reads too repetitively right now.
I emailed you a couple of sources I found while poking around for awards citations which seem to have some analysis that might be of value in this article.
I incorporated the first source into the article, thanks for sending it. I'll try to incorporate the second source into a Themes section tomorrow because I found another source that also talks about some of the book's themes today. Fearstreetsaga (talk) 05:18, 19 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I added a "Major themes" section to the article based on the source you sent me and a couple other sources I found today and yesterday. Again, thanks for sending me those sources. Fearstreetsaga (talk) 04:49, 20 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Barkeep49: Yep. I've been a bit distracted from editing after getting a new job, but I still visit Wikipedia often and will be able to respond to any article suggestions relatively quickly. Fearstreetsaga (talk) 01:11, 15 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Fearstreetsaga: I have done my first pass through the article and left comments above. Feel free to respond underneath any of them. I had completely forgotten that she wrote Hotel for Dogs so that was a fun rediscovery. Best, Barkeep49 (talk) 02:11, 16 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
