Changes
[edit]Hi everyone! Any suggestions to the changes I made? Thanks in advance. MistrKanistr (talk) 19:08, 8 August 2010 (UTC)
Pronounciation
[edit]The article starts "Strætó bs (Icelandic pronunciation: [ˈstraiːtou])". This looks like the pronunciation of "Strætó". Is "bs" silent? If not then please add it to the IPA. Thanks, Verbcatcher (talk) 23:23, 13 September 2017 (UTC)
- It's not silent, it's just that people colloquially don't say it as it denotes the corporate type. Stefán Örvar Sigmundsson (talk) 07:29, 15 September 2017 (UTC)
Questioning the accuracy.
[edit]"Strætó bs started operations on 1 July 2001"
Are you sure this information is accurate? Because I remember taking a bus to school when I was a kid. And yes they were called "Strætó" even back then, and that was in the 1990s. Blaze The Movie Fan (talk) 16:12, 9 June 2019 (UTC)
- Strætó, as a regional partnership company, was founded that day when two companies serving the Capital Region merged. You can trace Strætó bs's origin back to 31 October 1931 when Strætisvagnar Reykjavíkur hf. was founded. Stefán Örvar Sigmundsson (talk) 00:08, 10 June 2019 (UTC)
Classification of routes
[edit]It seems that the company has abandoned the strict delineation of routes into trunk, general and neighborhood routes. There is no mention of it on the website and if memory serves the maps that depicted this classification were phased out in the mid 2010's the latest. Böggull (talk) 11:34, 9 October 2024 (UTC)
