'Riot' categoty

[edit]

Political violence and rioting are completely different concepts. I am very strongly opposed to applying a category with 'riot' in this article. We don't use the category of 'riot' when the George Floyd protests were violent. Mureungdowon (talk) 11:14, 8 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

There is no such guideline, and violence is violence regardless of the ideologies of the protesters. The George Floyd protests article mentions riots, and it is included in the category 2020 riots. The 1966 Hong Kong riots are labelled as such despite the protesters have legitimate grievances against the British colonial authorities. The 2019–2022 Chilean protests, 2019 Ecuadorian protests, and Citizenship Amendment Act protests are all included in the 2019 riots category even though they can all be framed as opposing authoritarianism using your logic.--61.69.202.59 (talk) 15:28, 8 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Splitting

[edit]

I propose that the section Admiralty Declaration and other sections included be split into a separate page called Brian Leung Kai-ping, he's got much more information other than the storming. The article could be written by translating the Chinese article. СлаваУкраїні 15:44, 23 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
