Date of construction of Finlay Bridge, Naas

The date given by McCutcheon is 1797 but I'm beginning to wonder is that's a typo in his book. I've found a reference here that suggests, but doesn't explicity say, that Chapman built the bridge in 1787. Can anyone find another reference that backs up either one or the other? —MegaPedant 19:24, 23 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Schofield agrees with the Penny Cyclopædia so I conclude that the McCutcheon ref contains a typo. I've reverted the date and added refs. —MegaPedant 20:41, 23 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
