I think this should be organized better, and make different sections for the various schools associated with the medical center. (It seem more appropriate that those schools go here, rather than on the Stony Brook U page.) Iamdooser (talk) 16:55, 17 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Tallest Building on Long Island?

[edit]

Is it the tallest building on Long Island? - Islander

The hospital is ~400 something feet tall. I want to say 440, if that helps. I believe it is. The only other buildings rivaling it could be NUMC and the Federal Court Complex. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 129.49.218.107 (talk) 10:11, 12 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • The Clinical Science Tower is 360 feet tall. It was the tallest building on Long Island upon opening:

I had the impression that the European American Bank building in Uniondale was the tallest on suburban Long Island. ----DanTD (talk) 04:30, 8 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
The EAB towers are Long Island's tallest office buildings at 15 stories[1], but the SB Medical Center stands 19 stories (and has quite a view, too). – ClockworkSoul 06:08, 8 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Déjà vu

I've been to this hospital before. — Hurricane Devon (Talk) File:Euro symbol.png 22:12, 14 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

And I work there. Creepy. – ClockworkSoul 23:12, 14 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Controversy

[edit]

I'm suprised no mention has been made to the medical center's recent problems, like how they were fined for 36 regulatory violations from May to July (http://1010wins.com/pages/127450.php?contentType=4&contentId=243399). Is there a reason why? -DenimForce2.0 18:23, 2 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Construction Order

[edit]

The Clinical Sciences Tower (Phase I) was built first, not the BST. The construction order was Clinical Science Tower, Hospital, Basic Science Tower. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 129.49.218.107 (talk) 10:35, 12 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
