"Transcontinental Railroad"

[edit]

The article states that the line through Stoney Point was part of the original transcontinental railroad completed by the Big Four. The original transcontinental railroad ran from Omaha, Nebraska to Sacramento California (and later to Oakland, California) and took a completely different route. The line through Stoney Point is actually part of the Southern Pacific's Coast Line. It technically was part of a transcontinental line (San Francisco, California to Needles, California, where the Southern Pacific was to meet the Atlantic & Pacific), but (EDIT: After doing additional research I have discovered that it wasn't even a part of that line) had no relation to the original, except for them both being part of the Big Four's Central/Southern Pacific system (Incidentally, the Coast Line was completed in the early 1900s, by which time the Big Four were dead and buried).
