There is no information about repressions for not signing it in communist countries.
I actually have a (weak) source for W.E.B. Du Bois getting charged in the US for distributing it for signing: http://www.snopes.com/politics/quotes/einstein.asp . If the poorly cited article is correct about the entire adult population of the USSR "signing" it, I suspect very few people in the USSR were bothered into actually pulling out a pen. Repressions in communist countries for not signing it would seem a bit exceptional; why bother people with actually signing it if you're going for everyone signing it? Of all the hills to die on, few are going to choose this and this alone; perhaps there were those repressed who had this brought up as a part of things the state didn't like, but I seriously doubt this was the sole crime.--Prosfilaes (talk) 03:15, 7 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
