Term hits too close to home
[edit]Is the use of the word 'fools' necessary?
- In this case the term "fools" is used in the sense of the "Theory of the Greater Fool" rather than in the perjorative sense necessarily. WynnQuon 22:53, 12 November 2006 (UTC)
I am sloooowly rewriting this article. I hope to include a section on the characteristics of stock market bubbles. I'm going to draw from JK Galbraith's work. Small side note: I've removed references to the Tulip Mania because it was a commodity bubble and not a stock market bubble per se. Comments welcome.WynnQuon 02:49, 14 November 2006 (UTC)
Changes to 1st para in article:
I removed the reference to Garber, because that work focuses heavily on Tulipmania. I'm assuming this article should keep to the topic of stock market bubbles rather than bubbles in general. I added the reference to behavioral finance up front because this is the strongly favored explanation of stock market bubbles. WynnQuon 20:57, 6 April 2007 (UTC)
