Devil's Chair?
[edit]I thought the Devil's Chair was the twin-peak to the north of Manstone Rock (the tall one with the trig point), and that they weren't the same rock... The OS 1:25k affirms my thoughts, but anyone got any thoughts about changing it on the page here? —Preceding unsigned comment added by C2r (talk • contribs) 22:38, 20 November 2006
- Well spotted. I've added a photo of the Devil's Chair for comparison. --Blisco 18:45, 21 November 2006 (UTC)
Roman mining
[edit]Has anybody thought of adding a section on lead mining? I understand there are extensive traces of early mining near the Stiperstones, especially from the Roman period. Peterlewis (talk) 08:31, 27 April 2008 (UTC)
Village
[edit]Not an expert (just a one-time visitor), otherwise I'd do it myself, but it appears from the Ordnance Survey map that Stiperstones is also a village. This should be mentioned/clarified in the article. Dave.Dunford (talk) 09:17, 4 January 2016 (UTC)
