Notable residents
[edit]I don't doubt that Tom Watson and the CHiefs quarterback would be noteworthy residents of the community, but there is no evidence to support it. Can you reference a web link or other source??--Paul McDonald 05:59, 15 August 2007 (UTC)
Wikipedia itself says he lives in Stilwell:

Outdated info
[edit]I'm moving the following paragraph here pending the addition of updated information:
In June 2008 commissioners in Johnson County, KS are expected to vote on whether to incorporate the town of Stilwell. If approved Stilwell will be the fifth largest municipality in Johnson County, KS.

Naming of Stilwell
[edit]I did some quick googling, and couldn't find the answer, but I had always heard that Stilwell was named after Arthur J. Stilwell, owner of the railroad that passed through. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.70.156.3 (talk) 06:33, 17 July 2012 (UTC)
Ah, I found it, right here on Wikipedia: it is Arthur E. Stilwell, not Arthur J. I am not a good editor, hopefully someone can correct the comment about Stilwell being named for the conductor. Arthur E. was founder and later president of the Kansas City Southern Railway:

Photographs
[edit]I live around these parts and can probably get a picture or two. I found a couple of historic photographs in jocohistory.org's files but there wasn't accessible licensing and publication information. Absolutely no luck regarding maps.
