Zach Roth
[edit]Since Zach Roth isnt in the band any more i'l remove him from the members bit
2006 "kerrang" tour
[edit]Just out of interest, what does that have to do with anything? Wow, they went on tour, they've probably done so before, there's no need for people to name-drop awful welsh metalcore bands in an attempt to draw comparisons to a far better band i.e. Still Remains.
Cooking With Church....
[edit]wasnt Church's reason for leaving/breaking up was that he wanted to focus more on cooking??? thats what Ive heard from a ton of other guys, hell you can find Cooking With Church's videos on youtube. Though its a shame they split after kinda finalising their line up 78.146.88.188 (talk) 17:07, 12 July 2009 (UTC)
- I think these guys you heard it from don't know what they are talking about. He's in a new band called Juleus, so I'm guessing he's not giving up music for cooking. (talk) 17:07, 18 July 2009 (UTC)
Deletion
[edit]I am against the deletion of this page for multiple reasons.
1.) Still Remains was signed to Roadrunner Records, one of the largest U.S. hard rock/heavy metal record labels. Many smaller bands that were/are signed to much smaller indie labels avoid deletion somehow, so why delete Still Remains?
2.) Although this band did not sell millions, they headlined numerous national tours and were brought on tours with many larger acts such as Bullet For My Valentine, Shadows Fall, Aiden, and Hawthorne Heights.
3.) This band did in fact have a single ("Dancing With The Enemy") that landed on the charts.
4.) Songs by Still Remains made their way onto significant compilation albums and members of Still Remains were involved in musical projects with prominent hard rock/heavy metal musicians such Slipknot, Fear Factory, Machine Head, and Trivium.
If deletion of non-notable bands is something that is trying to be done, I feel that the smallest, least notable bands be proposed for deletion well before acts like Still Remains.
Thank you

Reliability
[edit]I'm not the one who's been making the edits in regards to the new track. However, I was rather confused with your comment, "The source is self-published, so it's not reliable." So, if Spin or Rolling Stone mentions a new Still Remains track, it's reliable, but the band itself is not a good enough source? Haha. Enlighten me. -user:hsxeric
- WP:RS is where you want to check. Primary sources would be acceptable in relation to a member leaving, but not necessarily for reasons around the departure. It would be fine that a single was released including when and possibly charting, but not about how popular it is by any other measure. Secondary sources such as Rolling Stone, Spin, or even smaller publications such as HM Magazine would be better for those other sorts of things. --Walter Görlitz (talk) 01:19, 3 January 2012 (UTC)
- I think that this is more of an issue regarding notability. The band itself would be reliable for stating it released a song, but it is probably not noteworthy for Wikipedia unless a third-party source also mentions it.--¿3family6 contribs 02:18, 3 January 2012 (UTC)
Ceasing to Breathe page
[edit]Since Ceasing to Breathe is now out can we get a page going? I am willing to take it and work on it.
Information for the album can be found on www.stillremains.us and www.last.fm/music/Still+Remains/Ceasing+to+Breathe — Preceding unsigned comment added by Stejdm (talk • contribs) 17:21, 19 December 2013 (UTC)
b-sides?
[edit]I understand the issues you have with the sources. But, if you can see that the tracks exist and were part of the indicated albums, does it really matter? I just don't see the need for this section to be referenced. The information contained in it isn't something disputed. Hsxeric (talk) 02:38, 20 December 2013 (UTC)
- They're listed as "b-sides" but that's not supported at Amazon or anywhere. They're simply bonus tracks on the deluxe editions of albums. Walter Görlitz (talk) 02:46, 20 December 2013 (UTC)
- They were B-sides. When the albums were originally released, they were not included. On the re-released (special) editions, they were added to the mix. However, as these tracks are included on the individual album pages, I propose deleting this entire section from the band's main page, as it is redundant.Hsxeric (talk) 03:02, 20 December 2013 (UTC)
- It should be referenced there as this isn't clear there. I'll let you decide what to do here. If they're not notable, it might be better to remove them. Walter Görlitz (talk) 03:14, 20 December 2013 (UTC)
