Could we just mention that Karen Carpenter's album was posthumous?
[edit]The way it's written now, it seems like she recorded her solo debut in 1996. She died in 1983. She recorded it in 1980 and it was released posthumously. Of course, we could always take that (1996) off the end of the sentence and just link directly to the album's page... either way would be more clear. 71.7.48.30 (talk) 10:52, 28 November 2011 (UTC)
To (album) or not to (album)?
[edit]When I created Still Crazy After All These Years (album) it was because it had been requested and there are a (nonexistent) link to it in Paul Simon under Discography. I put "(album)" on the end because that's the way it was in the link and in the other links I looked at (Graceland (album), Paul Simon (album)).
Now I see that not all the links have "(album)" after them and that perhaps "(album)" was added to disambiguate them. When I found the non-album article (which was nothing more than "It's an album") I thought I'd just redirect it. This also came about because typing "still crazy after all these years" into the Wikipedia search didn't go to my article.
Now my article has been copied to the non-album title, which I kind of understand. "Paul Simon" can be the artist or the album. But "Still Crazy..." can be the album or the song.
So instead of flipping each other's articles back and forth, let's talk about what's best. I vote for consistency and use the "(album)" form.
- I'm always forgetting this myself, but the Wikipedia guideline is to not pre-emptively disambiguate. In other words, the album was here first to leave the name as-is. If and when someone writes an article about the song, then they can disambiguate that article by appending " (song)". -- Gyrofrog (talk) 07:23, 17 September 2005 (UTC)

[edit]Should someone mention the Beach Boys reunion/comeback-attempt "Still Cruisin' After All These Years"?
Fair use rationale for Image:PaulSimonStillCrazyAfterAllTheseYearsCover.jpg
[edit]Image:PaulSimonStillCrazyAfterAllTheseYearsCover.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Also recorded by Ray Charles
[edit]The song Still Crazy After All These Years was also recorded by Ray Charles and released as part of his "My World" album. This isn't mentioned in the list of artists who have covered the song. My World was released in March, 1993. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Chrismykrantz (talk • contribs) 03:46, 1 March 2012 (UTC)
