Updated this article
[edit]Updated this article with text from DANFS and added infobox with extant photo from the page.
Keep in mind, this article is not for a particular ship but for the "design" of a class of ships, with the design to be used on various ironclads once the design was accepted by the Navy.
This design was used on USS Naugatuck (1862) and may have been used on other ships.
The article should be okay now unless there is more design information to be added, as well as performance data in the field...
An interesting subject worthy of more specification detail and background information.Wikited 02:26, 17 October 2007 (UTC)
