"Campus Locations" Neutrality
The language used in the Campus Locations section is inappropriately praiseful for an encyclopedia article. GavinMcGimpsey (talk) 02:30, 4 January 2010 (UTC)
- Good point. The user was blocked in June 2009 for advertising and self-promotion. Kalmbach (talk) 04:26, 2 April 2010 (UTC)
I have removed the glaring advertising which is a clear violation of Wikipedia rules. Prose describing school campuses in non-educational and irrelevant brochure terms such as having "sparkling surroundings and majestic foothills" "allowing students to proudly tour their family and friends around the campus" are as flagrant a violation as it is possible to find. Other smarmy examples were, "It's a facility where graduates get to know the college staff and other online students in the area," "...natural beauty of the outdoors with rolling hills, meadows and wandering rivers," "proud heritage" and "Provo/Orem has been consistently receiving media attention from the business community both nationally and internationally." Wikipedia is not a glossy college prospectus. Any information removed can be found where it belongs, at the college's website. — O'Dea (talk) 19:57, 13 April 2011 (UTC)
