Was Junnah really a pro in Bagger Vance? Or was he a talented amatuer who had given up the game and retreated into a heremetic life? That's how I remember it. Rlquall 14:26, 17 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You are correct. Junnah was not professional but an accomplished amateur whose life is in disarray at the beginning of the story. He is inserted into the match between Walter Hagen and Bobby Jones as a "local champion" at the insistence of the local government officials.

Alexander novels

Is it really necessary to separate the two novels about Alexander's conquests into their own separate category in the historical fiction section? Required Reading?

Can someone cite a source claiming "Gates of Fire" is REQUIRED reading among military academies? As much as I want to believe it, I want to be sure it's true before I spout it to everyone. AndarielHalo (talk) 16:01, 29 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Bagger Vance Non-Fiction?

Is "The Legend of Bagger Vance" really non-fiction? It is listed in the Library of Congress as fiction. If nobody objects, I'll change it to fiction. (AlexInWikiland (talk) 03:11, 8 July 2011 (UTC))[reply]

That's an astute catch. I've not read it yet but everything I know about it certainly indicates that it must be fiction. I came to this wikipedia site, by the way, as a result of starting to watch Joe Rogan's two hour and forty-eight minute online interview with Pressfield and wanting to know what Pressfield had done as I begin that journey.
