The part about his childhood, early music experiences should a separate section, maybe with the personal info too. Should be expanded or repharsed: it's very choppy at the end now. Corrigann 18:34, 30 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Layout of discography

[edit]

Is there a reason the discography is formatted the way it is?

References?

[edit]

There is only one reference cited for this entire article and it's a book by Randy Jackson which has nothing to do with Steve Smith? I'm not a big enough Smith fan to have enough knowledge to improve it, otherwise I might attempt to fix it. If you add info then cite your sources. Somebody had the ambition to go find all the info about his drum kits but yet couldn't cite the source? Higher standards people please. Status4 (talk) 15:14, 12 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@Status4This is an old post, but ironic. @80s Sam has been going around (2020+ til recently) to several Journey members wiki pages and adding info about their career that is incorrect and unsourced. Steve Smith was never an official member of Montrose. No matter what the Montrose wiki says—it’s incorrect. A wiki can’t rely on another wiki to prove its fact in a circular reference kind of way. (Example: “Steve was a member of Montrose. The Montrose wiki said he was.” And around and around.) No matter what Sam tries to source with irrelevant and not applicable source material. Not one of the references say Steve was a member of Montrose. Montrose disbanded in 1976. The wiki says that and is sourced. Ronnie release a solo album in 1978 and toured to support it. Steve was on that tour. End of story. KaytieKay (talk) 22:45, 25 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Steve Smith.jpg

[edit]

Image:Steve Smith.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
