Baseball player
[edit]Did Steve Phillips ever play organized baseball?--70.189.248.92 05:27, 11 July 2006 (UTC)
- I think he played a little minor league ball. --Rambone (Talk) 17:58, 26 July 2006 (UTC)
Bias
[edit]Does anyone think that Steve is a little biased agianst certain organizations..... such as Philadelphia?
- and the Yankees. There's no doubt about it. Also, being a failed general manager makes him qualified to be a Baseball Tonight member how? Gutch220 02:52, 9 June 2007 (UTC)
- He has a big mouth, isn't thaz enough?
- Steve Phillips didn't trade Kazmir.
- He also didnt draft anyone or sign Jose Reyes. It would be more accurate to that those acquisitions were made while he was GM, but GM's do not sign anyone or draft anyone. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.72.20.80 (talk) 23:39, 22 October 2009 (UTC)
- Can we retitle this "Steve Phillips (patron saint of haterade)"?
New section on incapacity
[edit]I think this article needs a new section. I don't think it can be argued against that Phillips is universally maligned both for his (in)capacity as a GM and as a journalist. If I gather examples of his completely off-base predictions and analyses, would anybody delete such a section? 170.140.153.19 (talk) 23:42, 27 October 2008 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 170.140.153.19 (talk) 23:40, 27 October 2008 (UTC)
