– Per my prior comment at Talk:Steve Miller (ice hockey), resolve a series of unjustified partial disambiguations here and ensure each of these people has a qualifier that doesn't apply to any of the others. * Pppery * it has begun... 23:33, 1 November 2024 (UTC)
- Steve Miller (American football coach) is fine - there's no other American football coach. And Steven Miller (gridiron football) can just go to Steven Miller (running back). The rest... wow yeah the writers are hard to dab without years. Hameltion (talk | contribs) 02:21, 2 November 2024 (UTC)
- Fine with (running back). Re the American football coach, Steve Miller (athletics) looked like an American football coach when I filed this RM, but now I see he played American football and then later coached track and field instead, which confused me into thinking he was an American football coach. That can also be left as it. * Pppery * it has begun... 02:36, 2 November 2024 (UTC)
- Comment Is there evidence that Stephen Miller (writer) is often called "Steve Miller" to require further disambiguation of Steve Miller (author) (full name "Steven Robert Miller")?—Bagumba (talk) 08:57, 2 November 2024 (UTC)
- Note that the article about Steven L. Miller contains a citation that refers to him as "Steve Miller" in its headline, so disambiguation from that topic is needed for Steve Miller (business). — BarrelProof (talk) 11:02, 2 November 2024 (UTC)
- Oppose. OP cites no sources. Steve/Steven/Stephen is unambiguous. 162 etc. (talk) 16:47, 2 November 2024 (UTC)
- Per WP:NCSP Athletics section, please rename Stephen Miller (athlete) to Stephen Miller (club thrower) and Steve Miller (athletics) to Steve Miller (businessman). No comment on the rest of the moves.
- Reason: Miller #1 won most of his gold medals in club throw, and Miller #2 is more well known as a sports executive than an athlete. --Habst (talk) 20:43, 4 November 2024 (UTC)
- Steve Miller (businessman) doesn't work because it's too confusible with the article currently at Steve Miller (business). Fine with Stephen Miller (club thrower). * Pppery * it has begun... 21:35, 4 November 2024 (UTC)
- @Pppery, thanks, how about Steve Miller (sports executive) then? That disambiguator is already in use in 48 articles: intitle:"sports executive" --Habst (talk) 12:36, 5 November 2024 (UTC)
- Works for me. * Pppery * it has begun... 16:58, 5 November 2024 (UTC)
