I've suggested merging WorlDream into this article. Both are short, and the people who want to read about WorlDream are mostly going to be the people who want to read about Steve. The WorlDream article would become a redirect. GMcGath 00:39, 3 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Makes sense to me --SDorn 17:52, 7 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I agree, makes a lot of sense to me, too --Katyhh 11:41, 8 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

MacDonald

[edit]

this page should be called Steve MacDonald with capital D, as the official site states his name that way· Lygophile has spoken 23:25, 24 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Nope, that's a different musician, you likely think of the Scottish folk musician Steve MacDonald, but that's not him. I should know ;-) (Katy Dröge-Macdonald here ;-)) Katyhh 14:01, 16 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Picture

[edit]

Hello there, would it be possible to maybe exchange the picture against one of his official ones (publicity pics) on his website, for example this one: http://www.stevemacdonald.org/images/publicity/14.jpg, or this: http://www.stevemacdonald.org/images/publicity/22.jpg ? What do you think? He'd be much happier with that than with a profile/belly shot ;-)) I'd do it myself but I do not know how to upload pictures and don't want to break anything. Ta, Katyhh 14:13, 16 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Unless he freely licenses one of them, we can't use them. The image we have is free to be used, modified, or even sold; these freedoms we want to preserve. --Sopoforic 23:58, 16 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Well ... I can ask him do do so. What's needed for that? Thanks. Katyhh 09:27, 17 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Basically just email him and ask him to license it freely (e.g. GFDL, CC-BY, CC-BY-SA). You'll need to forward that email with headers, to the permissions queue. The detail is at Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission, and you can find sample requests for permission at Wikipedia:Example requests for permission. Be sure that if you do get a license, he clearly states how he is licensing it--'for wikipedia only', 'for non-commercial use', 'for educational use' aren't acceptable, in particular. Good luck. --Sopoforic 11:26, 17 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

References

[edit]

I seem to be totally unable to get the references/citations right. Anyone willing to help with that? TaMuchly. Katyhh (talk) 13:56, 16 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hokay, got it right now, I guess, so ... thanks. Katyhh (talk) 19:55, 16 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
