Notability?
[edit]I have concerns about the notability of a comic who can only get a Wikipedia article because he has a fifteen-minute gig at Wikimania. Perhaps there's some other reason he should be included? GreenReaper (talk) 20:04, 9 August 2014 (UTC)
- The notability is provided by the references - not because he was present at Wikimania. Mike Peel (talk) 21:35, 10 August 2014 (UTC)
- To be fair to GreenReaper, he was commenting on an earlier version of the article, which had no references and didn't really give much of an indication of importance in the text. That article was deleted by Geni after GreenReaper's comments. Full respect to Geni for then finding some decent references and writing a decent start to the article. - Yes, the previous incarnation was incomplete. I had a quick look for references at the time but didn't turn up anything near as worthy as Geni did. He and I spoke very briefly about this the next morning. Anyway, As GreenReaper's concerns here on the talk page came after the previous incarnation was deleted, really the talk page could've been deleted too and we probably wouldn't be discussing this right now! -- Trevj (talk · contribs) 21:07, 12 August 2014 (UTC)
