   My, my, my. Heard a reference to the band in the last hour, and asked myself if a Dab page for the potential slip of the tongue, or of the ear, could make any sense; did a G-search; then considered the possibility of equal Dab'n for a while; eventually decided the Steve Canyon connection was weak enough that the band is clearly primary. I hadn't worked out the wording for the almost nonsensical comic strip "sense" of the term, so i decided to see what (if anything) anyone else might have done with the Dab, and then see if i could improve on it. What's there is brilliant: everyone understands that commandos and US Army Rangers are close synonyms, so i couldn't do any better than what i found.... Oh! I checked to see who the genius colleague was, and find that i came up with it, about 8 hours short of exactly two years ago.
   Well, the moral is that i may not be my own best critic, but while my memory degrades, my taste in reasoning stays pretty damn stable.... ah tempore, ah mores....
   And for that matter, "Such time, such customs", not just being mawkish about aging, but (also) bcz what times are these, when wikiquote:Cicero doesn't cover the correct version of that Latin expression?
