GA review (see here for what the criteria are, and here for what they are not)

{{subst:#if:|

  1. It is reasonably well written.
    a (prose, spelling, and grammar): b (MoS for lead, layout, word choice, fiction, and lists): b
    A couple of reminders:
  • Be careful with the use of the semi-colon. It was used incorrectly throughout the article.
  • As mentioned in previous reviews, avoid wordy sentences. There were many sentences that needed to split because of their length. When sentences are too long, the subject gets lost.
  1. It is factually accurate and verifiable.
    b (citations to reliable sources): b (OR): d (copyvio and plagiarism):
    {{subst:#if:|{{{2com}}}|}}
  2. It is broad in its coverage.
    a (major aspects): (focused):
    {{subst:#if:|{{{3com}}}|}}
    Take a look:
  • The overview at the top of the article is not long enough. You only go as far as to mention his career until he was at Mercury Records. What about beyond that? An overview should mention highlights of the article from beginning to end.
  • At times, there were too many details. Does a person's main article really need to mention how many weeks a song spent on the charts? Save those points for a song article. I removed these but next time, please do not include.
  • I think the discography needs its own page. With six albums, it could be argued that the discography is simply too long to include here. Additional details should be included in the discography, such as "other appearances" and "promotional singles" (the latter you mention in the main write-up).
  1. It follows the neutral point of view policy.
    Fair representation without bias: b
    {{subst:#if:|{{{4com}}}|}}
  2. It is stable.
    No edit wars, etc.: b
    {{subst:#if:|{{{5com}}}|}}
  3. It is illustrated by images and other media, where possible and appropriate.
    a (images are tagged and non-free content have fair use rationales): b(appropriate use with suitable captions): b
    {{subst:#if:|{{{6com}}}|}}
  4. Overall:
    Pass/Fail:
    With the removal of the discography onto its own page and a better overview, this will pass to GA status. ChrisTofu11961 (talk) 23:48, 21 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
