Too Late with Adam Carolla Apperance
added the drama on Too Late happening this second which is sure to be big news tomorrow. --Stilanas 04:19, 27 September 2005 (UTC)
- I gotta say, that one TV appearance on "Too Late with Adam Carolla" isn't as noteworthy as it's made out to be. It seems like a full 1/3rd of the artice is about that one appearance even though Steve-O has done way crazier things both on his TV shows Jackass and Wildboyz as well as his other TV Talk show appearances (he let a baby aligator bite him on the ass on The Tonight show w/ Jay Leno, for instance). As such, I think the "Too Late" segment can, and should, be shortened, as it wasn't really a big deal in conext with what he's done before. And also, no one watches that stupid Adam Carolla show, anyway. Hasn't it been cancelled already? If it hasn't, I imagine it will be soon.
- It's much less of the article now. -- Craigtalbert
Arrested for shooting elderly woman with air rifle
Anyone got a source for this? I'm taking it down if someone doesn't. --Liface 19:17, 3 January 2006 (UTC)
- I looked and couldn't find one either. -- Craigtalbert
Tattoo
How exactly does he manage to have a "larger-than-life portrait of himself ... tattooed on his back"? Is he an inside-out TARDIS?
- It's a giant head and thumbs up -- Kirbyrocks 23:26, 15 April 2006 (UTC)
Citations in cardiomyopathy Diagnosis Section
There is no citation needed for the statement that caridomyopathy can be life threatening, as that is discussed in the article on cardiomyopathy. There other statements were made on the Loveline radio program, as stated in the article, and can be checked by listening to the program. Craigtalbert 17:57, 13 June 2006 (UTC)
Clean-Up
I looked for citations for claims made in the wikipedia article and did my best to reorganize the information and wikify the article where necessary, so I removed the clean up notice. -- Craigtalbert
- I added information I found while researching that wasn't all ready included and cleaned up a little more. -- Craigtalbert
- I'm actually proud of this article. It's come a long way in a few short months. --Liface 21:56, 20 June 2006 (UTC)
Radio Bam Apperance
I'm going to delete this unless the date of his apperance can be provided. Craigtalbert 03:03, 9 July 2006 (UTC)
- Found the date of the apperance and confirmed what he said. Craigtalbert 19:31, 9 July 2006 (UTC)
Moved
Why was this article moved? Clearly he's the most popular result for Steve-O. I'm moving it back if no one has any objections. --Liface 01:06, 21 August 2006 (UTC)
- See Requested_moves#Current_proposals for more details. --Liface 17:59, 22 August 2006 (UTC)
Requested move
Steve-O (stuntist) → Steve-O – User that moved this has a lot of warnings on the talk page, it was moved with no discussion at all. Steve-O is clearly the only (and most popular) person with his name Liface 18:00, 22 August 2006 (UTC)

Photo Removal
71.108.168.79 has removed the Steve-O photo twice without an explaination. If it happens again, I'm going to put vandalism restrictions on the page. -- Craigtalbert 05:31, 5 September 2006 (UTC)
family
On Loveline, Steve-O often discusses his family and childhood, and has commented on growing up in wealthy circumstances. His father was some kind of international business executive. Does anybody know details? Uucp 15:03, 21 June 2006 (UTC)
- Per a discussion on the Howard Stern show, it sounds though his father is Ed Glover, currently an executive at Sun Microsystems [1]. Uucp 18:52, 21 September 2006 (UTC)
- I'll revise that, you could see from this site, a very poor picture of a "R Edward Glover", President of International Nabisco Brands [2] The Sun Microsystems link shows an "Edmund Glover", who looks to be too young to be Steve-O's dad and has experience in security consulting.Gwynplaine 06:04, 12 October 2006 (UTC)
Edits Following WWE Appearance
I apologize for reversing these. The content was good, but it seemed that it made the outline of the page a little fractured. As I understand the wikipedia quality guidelines, subheadings aren't recommended for small amounts of content. -- Craigtalbert 19:20, 16 October 2006 (UTC)
Kayfabe?
Is Steve-O wrestling Umaga Kayfabe?--989 RVD 02:38, 17 October 2006 (UTC)
Pro Wrestling is Serious Business!
Okay everybody, I know you all want to give a very detailed and flowery-worded account of Steve-O's WWE RAW appearance. But, it's getting a little old watching all of the edits back and forth. Can someone just get it right, keep it encyclopedic, and get it over with? The video is up and linked on the page now, so there shouldn't be any more factual disputes. -- Craigtalbert 14:24, 18 October 2006 (UTC)
Tom Green Apperance
I put the "citation needed" in the Tom Green section after someone had changed the wording of paragraph about what exactly happened on the show. In the past in this article where something was uncited I looked for one. I think it would be better to leave the information there to encourage other people to research it, than to remove it and make it unlikely that someone will. Also I fail to see why it is unencyclopedic by comparsion to other similar wikipedia articles and other information in the Steve-O article. -- Craigtalbert 11:35, 5 November 2006 (UTC)
Needs cleaning up
"Steve-O has done some really retarded things in his career that people have flocked to, and landed him millions of dollars. Regardless if Steve O is a doofus, and has eaten a hot pile of dog crap off of a sidewalk, he is still a celebrity. He is on TV, get's laid because of it, and makes a ton of money at 'his' own expense. That is a celebrity in my book! People ask him for autographs, and I bet people ask him to eat their own crap. He probalbly will do it if you give him enough $$$!!"
Why is this paragraph in here? Who's opinion is this? I thought his was supposed to be an encyclopedia, not someone's opinion interwined with various facts. --68.102.37.191 18:06, 17 November 2006 (UTC)
Vandalism
Don't give in to vandalism. If people remove large chunks of the article without posting information about why in the talk page, that's not okay. -- Craigtalbert 00:13, 20 November 2006 (UTC)
Bio
Could do with a proper bio section: childhood and graduation from the American (high) school in England; move to US in 90s etc.
- I moved some of the information from the career section in the the biography/summary. I do think it makes more sense there. -- Craigtalbert 18:29, 21 November 2006 (UTC)
- Added a little more. Wording not great, but that can be worked on by others with more wordcraft. Childhood in UK is significant so think it should be made clear, as is attendance at The American School in London. 86.17.247.135 00:46, 22 November 2006 (UTC)
Steve-O's Stunts
I read "This actually brought him great recognition because in the episode where he did it, there were a number of men and women in the parlor watching him getting his buttcheeks pierced".
That doesn't make any sense and should be deleted. LIllIi 23:35, 2 January 2007 (UTC)
- You're right. I'd favor removing it if you haven't already. -- Craigtalbert
Dead Links
Hi, I just figured I'd let you guys know that you should check your references. I didn't check all of them because it's really late, but all the links to E! Online no longer exist. Just givin you a heads up. Thanx! Karabeara126 08:53, 23 December 2006 (UTC)
- It looks that way. It doesn't look like they're on archive.org either. I did most of the "research" for the article when it had been marked as missing sources. They were working back then. I don't think I care enough about this article to repeat the exercise. -- Craigtalbert 18:54, 23 December 2006 (UTC)
- Additionally, the "steveovideo.com" stuff's dead, but I would assume finding pictures of this guy's tattoos would not be tough work. Totenkreuz 01:22, 19 January 2007 (UTC)
Exhibitionistic video
Is my mind playing tricks on me, or wasn't there a video on the Internet somewhere that showed Steve, er, "taking the dog for a walk"? That was a notable thing right around the time of Jackass, but if it wasn't really him....perhaps that's why it's not in the article? NickBurns 20:44, 26 December 2006 (UTC)
- What exactly does "taking the dog for a walk" mean? Davi Williams 10:56, 21 January 2007 (UTC)
- I always thought it was drinking Newcastle... - Ocatecir 11:04, 21 January 2007 (UTC)
Bloated
This article is quickly becoming bloated, full of trivial information. We do not need an entry every time Steve-O appears in the media. An article loses its effectiveness when the important information about a person's notable accomplishments becomes buried among trivial minutiae that belongs on a fansite, not an encyclopedia article. If everyone agrees, I am going to remove all the appearances not covered by a reliable third party independent source (this means all the blogs and forums used as sources are gone) and cut down the stunts and trivia sections to only the most noteworthy, and those will be merged to the appropriate parts of the article. —Ocatecir Talk 19:55, 17 March 2007 (UTC)
- Proposed changes:
- The WWE section can be cut down to 2 sentences. We don't need 2 paragraphs documenting a scripted appearance. The rest of the section is speculation.
- Stunts that can be merged: Gold fish trick, butt pierce, jellyfish -> Jackass tv sentence. High dive, backflip fireball -> Steve-o video sentence. Snooter, buttchug, fish hook, offroad tattoo -> Jackass movie sentence. The rest aren't as notable as the others.
- Trivia section cleanup: Rock the bells added to controversy section. Record deal to career section. Penis print merged to projects section under tv: the movie. Oscar urination merged to other public urination section. The rest should be deleted. —Ocatecir Talk 20:09, 17 March 2007 (UTC)
- I think it's worth looking for sources on some of the things that aren't currently sourced. But I generally agree that the aricle has become too messy. Other than that the recommendations for clean-up seem reasonable. -- Craigtalbert 21:14, 17 March 2007 (UTC)
- Done. I think its much more clear and concise now, not a random assembly of information and fancruft. —Ocatecir Talk 04:29, 19 March 2007 (UTC)
"Frequent" public urination
Well, that's what one heading in the article calls it, and then it goes on to give two examples. That's twice in three years. Sure, it's more often than most of us get around to, but I'm not sure it qualifies as frequent. It's not as if it's his trademark -- or is it? I don't really know, but I have the sinking feeling that someone here probably does. Should the heading be adjusted a little? Or can someone add more information to justify the claim that he pisses in public frequently? I don't know about you, but I feel classier just talking about this! -- Captain Disdain 19:11, 18 June 2007 (UTC)
24 hours with steveo
Steveo is due to be on an interview in the UK called '24 hours with' where an interviewer spends 24 hours in a room with a celebrity. Should it be added to the article?
- Not unless something notable comes out of it. Wikipedia is not meant to be a place to list everything a person does. — OcatecirT 18:18, 21 June 2007 (UTC)
Regurgitating live goldfish
In the Early life section it says "he would chug live gold fish and regurgitate them at parties" but later in the Jackass TV series section it says "The first stunt he performed on the show was swallowing, then regurgitating a large goldfish, which was coincidentally the first time he ever attempted the stunt." which seems to conflict with the previous statement. --MrCalifornia 18:57, 2 October 2007 (UTC)
- I took it out of the Steve-O article, its an unneeded, unverified piece of trivia. — OcatecirT 02:35, 3 October 2007 (UTC)
Spike TV Awards
And I quote "As a result, the channel geared towards immature adolescent boys and stoned fraternities revoked his invitation to present at the esteemed awards show though, ironically, it was Steve-O’s penchant for jackassery that garnered him an invitation to the classy Las Vegas affair in the first place."
I definitely think this should be rewrote, especially the "the channel geared towards immature adolescent boys and stoned fraternities".
This is my first time adding to a talk page, and I don't have a Wiki account yet (I plan on getting one). Is this how to add to a talk page? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.150.131.35 (talk) 05:05, 15 February 2008 (UTC)
I don't think it's possible to hit your chest with your balls.
The articel reads:
"The Double Back - Steve-O swings his penis back and forth with enough momentum for his balls to hit his chest twice, then catching his genitals with his inner thighs he jumps and spins 180 degrees."
This would only be possible if your scrotum hung down a foot or more.
- The man his skills. Craigtalbert 19:58, 2 July 2006 (UTC)
- Yeah I mean hes not this big for nothing he is talented no dout about that
they only hit hit belly button i've saw a clip of it on google video, online_novak
all the double back is is he swings his nuts and penis up and down creating enough momentum to catch them behind his thighs. he then does a backflip while keeping his junk behind his thighs.
Steve 0 with his Wild Boys mentality always came off as a flamer... In gradeschool he was known too have 2 or more bi-sexual relations... in 99 once his career took off... He was caught revisting old habits in the bathrrom of a bar in downtown L.A. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.230.10.245 (talk) 11:43, 30 June 2008 (UTC)
Steve-o's name is spelled Steven not Stephen.
you can see this in the opening credits of Dr. Steve-o when it lists him as co-executive producer.
here's a link to the dr. steve-o website and just click on full episodes and watch them to see the spelling of his name. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.172.36.141 (talk) 04:46, 13 August 2008 (UTC)
SteveO on TV show BlindDate
I remember SteveO on BlindDate with a playboy model...lol which was hilarious. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.232.158.207 (talk) 06:33, 5 October 2008 (UTC)
A whole section of this article vanished in nov. 2007
hi! This diff [3] took out a chunk of this article. Since it's now semi-protected, i can't edit it back in place... Someone please ? (PS: Sneaux still points here... and the relevant section is no longer there). Thanks ! --JY Rehby (talk) 03:28, 7 October 2008 (UTC)
Hip hop artist?
This article lists him as a hip hop artist. That has to be the most ridiculously stupid thing I've ever heard on Wikipedia. How much has he recorded? Has he been acknowledged as a musician? Has his work been reviewed by a credible source? Etc etc etc. Judging by his appearance on Tom Green Live, his "rapping" is nothing more than intentional douchebaggery. This needs to be changed immediately. --F33bs (talk) 07:57, 3 July 2008 (UTC)
- Since nobody has bothered to respond to my question, I am going to change this article to omit "hip hop artist". No information is given at all on this claim, and it's patently absurd to suggest that Steve-O is a hip hop artist merely because every once and a while he gets on stage and in between gulps of Hennessy, shouts out some random bullshit and then passes out. F33bs (talk) 10:28, 14 July 2008 (UTC)
i hope it's not too late but just to let you know, he is a hip hop artist actually. he was signed by universal records to do a rap album, and it is being produced my DJ Whoo-Kid (50 Cents dj). steve-o has recorded and released a mixtape called "The Dumbest Asshole In Hip Hop" i can list the tracks too if you want. the mixtape came with a special edition dvd that chronicles the making of his mixtape and shows all the footage he had on his website. i'm not sure when his actual album is going to be released but just reply if you have any more questions about this subject.
- I'm sure he has recorded music, however I fail to see how that makes him an actual "hip hop artist." Hip hop isn't just rapping, there is a lot more to the culture. F33bs (talk) 17:39, 3 December 2008 (UTC)
